HR: Time and Leave : Vacation Leave

Work/Life
  • Vacation will accrue based on an employee's current FTE.
  • Vacation may not be used in advance of accrual.
  • No vacation is accrued or available for temporary/hourly employees.
  • Hours accrue at the end of each month, and are available for use on the first day of the following month.
  • Hours over 240 will be automatically deleted on an employee's anniversary date.

Civil Service

  • New employees will accrue vacation, but may not use it until they have completed 6 months of service, and then may use after it is accrued.
  • Supervisor and department head must approve vacation requests.
  • Vacation will not accrue in months where an employee has more than 10 days in leave without pay status.
