Staff and Administrative Employment 
Civil Service (or classified) staff provide a variety of services and support for the university. They are governed by Washington Administrative Code and/or applicable bargaining unit contracts. Administrative (civil service exempt) staff positions engage in administrative, professional services or a combination of administration and instruction. They are governed by the Exempt Policy / Procedures and university policies.
Faculty Employment 
Faculty engage in teaching, scholarship, research and service and may be tenure track or non-tenure track. Faculty at Central Washington University are governed by a bargaining unit contract which may be viewed on the Faculty Relations web page.
Temporary/Hourly Employment 
Temporary/Hourly positions are used to provide temporary support or services. These positions are limited to a maximum of 1,050 hours in a 12-month period and are not normally eligible for benefits.
Student Employment 
Employment opportunities for CWU students are facilitated through the Student Employment Office.
