Sandy exemplifies the meaning of customer service. She
consistently goes beyond service expectations to help students,
staff, employers, faculty, and the community. She consistently
exceeds expectations with her database management, record
keeping, and accountability. Employers have commented on her
level of professionalism and genuine concern for students' welfare.
Sandy is always looking for ways to streamline procedures and
enhance efficiency. This year, she changed the process of
collecting data by e-mailing each graduate in our Wildcat Career
Network database besides making contact by phone. Sandy had
the idea of researching each school district online and reading the
school board minutes to see if the new hires were CWU students.
This step proved invaluable to securing results. Last year, we heard
from 49 percent of education graduates. This year, Sandy reached
76 percent response rate. Sandy's goal for next year is 90 percent
response rate.
