2003 : Cameron Clasen |
Employee of the Month for June 2003Cameron ClasenOfficer Clasen's effort to solve the numerous burglaries on Central's campus led to the discovery of more than $20,000 worth of stolen property from CWU, and led to the arrest of two suspects. While for most officers this case would have been concluded at that point, he knew of the impact the property loss had on the university community. Students without access to computers used to go to the SUB to finish assignments and couldn't because of the theft of laptops. The McNair Scholars Program was also impacted due to the theft of their computer monitors. As a result, Cameron worked closely with the Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney's office to assure that all of the property being held as evidence was released as soon as possible so it could be put back into service. He has a great deal of passion for protecting our campus and desires to make a difference on our campus each day. |
