Employee of the Month for August 2002

Mary Smith

Mary is in charge of the "nightmare" of scheduling the classroom usage every quarter for the entire campus. She receives 600-1000 change requests per quarter. She does her job without showing frustration, and is always willing to assist. She goes above and beyond the call of duty in the positive, efficient and professional way she handles her job. Mary can be counted on to take care of problems and she is always friendly and cheerful. I could not do my job without her. Daily, Mary has to deal with conflict. She has gone beyond the call of duty many times for faculty, staff, and students, whether it be a last minute room or building change. She is our cheerleader, support, and rock. She is always willing to help out, whether it be entertaining the students with her boa's, umbrellas, or special pens. She impacts my job by making my work easier.
