Employee of the Month for December 2002

Information Technology Systems Specialist III for Computing and Telecommunication Services, was elected as the Employee of the Month for December 2002. The following statements were taken from the nomination forms:

Jeff is one of just two full time employees charged with keeping the hundreds of Macintosh Computers on campus running at peak efficiency. He takes the myriad of problems presented to him on a daily basis in stride. He returns calls for help promptly, and makes service calls promptly. He is unparalleled at multi-tasking, working on one computer while diagnosing a problem on the phone and directing a student worker fixing another problem at the same time. He needs to be cloned! Jeff is simply one of the best employees CWU has.

Supervisor Comments: Jeff has developed new procedures for delivering updates and patches to the Mac labs that is extremely effective and cuts down the time to accomplish this by 90%. The depth of his computer knowledge is truly impressive. Not uncommon to resolve over 200 problems in a monthly period. His work is extremely high quality. He is one of the most efficient and productive technicians on campus. I receive a minimum of 10 calls a month complimenting Jeff on the good work he provides to the campus. Jeff commits much of his off-duty time to teaching the young people in Ellensburg bicycle safety.
