You can your password by using this form. The site is a secure web interface and will let you create a new password for your GroupWise e-mail and Novell Login to access your files and data. You must know your student ID number and PIN. You do not need to know your old password.

The password must be at least 8 characters but not more than 14, and cannot include any blanks or special characters. Your GroupWise password is case sensitive. Your Novell password is not. But they are the same.

After 3 unsuccessful attempts to login to the password change system you will be locked out for 15 minutes. After the 15 minutes are up you will need to change your password to unlock your account.

Enter your student identification number and four-digit REGI PIN. Then click the Agree & Submit button on the form. A new screen will appear and will notify you when your password for Novell and GroupWise has been changed. This screen will also contain all of your login data and can be printed for your records.

Please be patient. The system may take up to 5 minutes to process your new password correctly. Systems are known to be like that. Please check the following then ask the Student Assistant in the lab for help, or come to Bouillon 112 for help.

Verify Login ID and Password are entered correctly.

Be sure you are using the correct Login procedure for the operating system on the computer:

If Windows 95 operating system and/or does not have an advanced key type your full context in the "Username" field. Example: ".SmithD.S.Students.cwu"

If Windows 2000 operating system and/or does have an advanced key, the context needs to be split. In the "Username" field would be a form of your last name and first initial(s). Example: "SmithD" You would then click the "advanced" key and type in the "context" field the rest of your login. Example: "S.Students.cwu"

If you are still unable to get into the system go to the Student Account Management (https://kothar.cts.cwu.edu/novpass.html) to change/reset your passwords.

Your PIN is a four-digit number assigned by the system and the Registrar's Office in Mitchell. For security reasons only your advisor or the Registrar's Office can tell you what your PIN # is.

First be sure that you have activated your computer account and set your password and know all your login information. If you do not know your password, login information or if it doesn't work go to the Student Account Mangement (https://kothar.cts.cwu.edu/novpass.html).

When you have activated your account and changed your password you are ready to configure your computer to ResNet (www.cwu.edu/~housing) specifications.
