Typical Schedule
The internship at Counseling Services is a twelve-month, 2000-hour internship. The training year runs from September through August. During the orientation period, you will work with your primary clinical supervisor and the Coordinator of Training to develop a weekly schedule specifying general responsibilities as well as those that may be unique to you. A typical week will include 44 hours (see footnote 1) of scheduled activities as follows (see footnote 2)

Footnotes:
- Additional hours may be necessary, depending on Counseling Services needs and/or training requirements.
- Approximate distribution of hours without an optional rotation. Weekly schedule will be adjusted by primary supervisor when completing a rotation.
- Hours too few and inconsistent in number to add to the weekly total columns.
- Interns participate in 2 to 3 weeks of on-call crisis rotation each quarter. Hours spent responding to crisis calls is variable and intermittent. Only time spent responding to a crisis call are counted toward direct service hours.
