The Third Annual STEP Summer Science Institute for high school juniors took place at Central Washington University from July 25 to August 6, 2005. The Computer Science Module was offered during the first week's schedule only.
The LEGO Mindstorm Robotics Invention System and the NQC programming language were used to introduce fundamental programming concepts in a hands-on style.
2005 LEGO participants included Phil Thomas, Arlene Delgado, and Duane Scholz. All three had just completed their junior year in high school.
