The first annual STEP Summer Science Institute for high school juniors took place at CWU from June 23 to July 3, 2003.
The LEGO Mindstorm Robotics Invention System and the NQC programming language were used to introduce fundamental programming concepts in a hands-on style.
Week 1 participants included Guadalupe (Lupe) Hernandez and Griselda (Gris) Arias.
