The intention of this JCreator User Manual is to provide enough information for CS 110 and CS 111 students to use JCreator LE in the computer labs in Hebeler. It is not designed to be comprehensive or replace the help material available from JCreator's help menu.
The first time you use JCreator with a new student account (or at home), you will need to set up JCreator with the location of key folders on the computer's disk. In addition, you will want to configure JCreator's options to follow the conventions of CS 110 and 111. Both the JCreator setup and configure options only need to be done once. JCreator should remember your settings between sessions.
Instructions are available for installing JCreator at home. While many students choose to install JCreator on their home computer, this is not required for success in CS 110 and 111. Indeed, it is often advantageous to work in the Hebeler Labs on your assignments as there are usually other students and TAs present that can offer helpful advice should you run into a problem that you cannot figure out on your own.
