Edward M. Gellenbeck
Associate Professor of Computer Science
Central Washington University
Dr. Gellenbeck began teaching at CWU in 1994. He returned to the Northwest following a two-year exile in Pennsylvania teaching computer science at a small liberal arts college.
Born in San Francisco and raised in California, he has grown to love Washington State.
He earned his Ph.D. from Oregon State University in 1991. To celebrate, he and his wife rode their tandem bike across the U.S. and then down to Mexico.
Happily married to Jean Lofy, they enjoy hiking the great outdoors, riding their tandem bike, backpacking, and cross-country skiing.
