Supports undergraduate juniors & seniors & first- year graduate students who are pursuing degrees in aeronautical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, materials science, computer science, atmospheric science, astrophysics, physics, chemistry, or selected space disciplines of interest for a paid internship at NASA Langley Research Center, Hampton, Virginia. Applicants can apply for multiple sessions at same time but must submit by the first session's deadline.

The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the world's largest society for science, IT, engineering, and mathematics professionals, has placed hundreds of interns since 1996 at NASA, IBM, Merck, NOAA, Lockheed Martin, NAVAIR, CVS, Pfizer, Procter & Gamble, Shell Oil, USDA, and several university science laboratories.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Full-time student
  2. Documented disability
  3. Major in science, math, computer science/IT, engineering, business
  4. GPA of 3.0 or higher
  5. U.S. citizen

CWU H1N1 Guidance to Faculty

I will adopt CWU's H1N1 guidance to faculty regarding missed classes and late assignments due to the H1N1 virus.

CWU's University Writing Center

Writing Consultants offer free, one-on-one sessions to all CWU students, of all disciplines and levels. Students can brainstorm ideas, find research, and revise their drafts for organization, citation style, and grammar, learning how to edit their own papers. You can drop in or make an appointment for an in-person session or request a live, interactive, online session.

Undergraduate Student Researchers Program (USRP)

Agency: National Aeronautics and Space Administration
Next Deadline: Oct 23, 2009

Offers second, third-& fourth-year undergraduates mentored research opportunities at 10 participating NASA centers.
Eligibility is limited to U.S. citizens who have a minimum GPA of 3.0 & are concentrating in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or physical/life sciences.
Students receive $6K (10-week summer session) or $9K (15-week fall or spring session), plus travel.

Students may apply for one or more sessions to increase chance of being selected, but can only participate in one of them.
