HTML-Kit Plugins
A great feature about HTML-Kit is the ability to add functionality through plugins. Feel free to experiment with the plugins at home. In the Hebeler labs, we use nine plugins during CS 350.
Download and save in a temp location (e.g. Desktop) six plugin zip files for developing XHTML web pages
Note: under Window's Vista, to install plugins you must have opened HTML-Kit under the "Run as Administrator" option (available from the right-click context menu).
To install the plugins: With HTML-Kit running, for each plugin:
- Select from the Tools Menu | Install | Install Plug-In
- Browse to the plugin's zip file (no need to unzip) and select open
- After each prompt to exit HTML-Kit, select No
After all plugins have been "installed", close and then restart HTML-Kit to complete the plugin installs.
You may also wish to install a dictionary to help with spelling. Because of permission problems, we are not able to install the dictionary in the Hebeler Labs.
