Flight Training : Facilities and Simulators |
FacilitiesThe Flight Technology Center is located at Bowers Field, near the CWU campus. Most flight related academic courses are taught at the Flight Technology Center. Simulator TrainingThe center's simulator room houses $1.3 million worth of simulation equipment, which includes: a PC lab for computer-based training, two Frasca 141 single engine simulators, an ATC multiengine simulator, a Frasca 242 multiengine simulator equipped with area navigation, electronic flight instrumentation and autopilot, and a 242T, which simulates a Super King Air 200 pressurized twin turboprop aircraft, equipped with a Universal UNS1-B FMS, a full 19 leg-type, flight management computer system (FMS) with vertical navigation (VNAV) capability. The simulator training you receive as part of our program will be invaluable to you. The major benefits derived from this training includes: Crew Resource Management (CRM) training, Line-Oriented Flight Training (LOFT), Electronic Flight Instrument System (EFIS) familiarization, HSI, RMI, RNAV, Autopilot and Flight Director operation, and Flight Management System (FMS) operation. |
