Guidelines for FCSEA Monographs FCSEA has two monograph proposals approved for this year. These are “Safety Handbook for the Family and Consumer Sciences Educator” and “Integrating Mathematics Standards into the Family and Consumer Sciences Classroom” . The authors will be working on the monograph drafts which will then be reviewed and edited. We are very pleased with the recent submission of proposals and drafts and encourage you to consider submitting a monograph proposal or draft for consideration. AAFCS yearbooks formerly available from Gencoe/McGaw-Hill are now available through FCSEA headquarters at Central Washington University. The Coalition shall be comprised of two (2) representatives from each National Family and Consumer Sciences professional organization:
Procedures for selecting representatives to the Coalition are the discrete responsibility of each respective organization. Appointment of alternate representatives is encouraged. The chair and the recording secretary shall be elected annually at the ACTE annual meeting. Membership terms on the Coalition shall be staggered with each of the two representatives from each organization appointed in a different year, for a three year term. Only those representing one of the three (3) said organizations will have voting privileges concerning decisions of the Coalition. Minutes of Coalition meetings will be kept by a recording secretary. Minutes shall be shared within three weeks with Coalition members, the president and executive director of AAFCS, ACTE, and FCSEA. Others to receive the minutes include the AAFCS Director of Public Policy and the ACTE Government Relations Director. Regular scheduled meetings will be held in conjunction with annual meetings of AAFCS, ACTE and ACTE Policy Seminar. Other meetings may be called at the discretion of the chair. Each sponsoring organization shall assumed the financial expenses incurred by its two (2) Coalition members according to the organization's own policy. One or more advisors may serve as non-voting members of the Coalition . Such appointment(s) must be approved by majority vote of the Coalition.
