Mt. Rainier National Park

This was an overnight trip. We had careful planning and started out with one van and one car on a Saturday. The day was beautiful on the long drive past Yakima and Naches. Unfortunately, when we got close to the mountain and our campsite, we had rain, rain, rain. We ate a delicious dinner at our campsite in the dark, but we spent a very wet night in tents. By morning we were all cold, tired, hungry, and wet! We decided to eat breakfast at a lodge, visit the visitors center (where we couldn't see anything outside because of the rain and clouds), and then head home.

We visited the Naches River on the long drive back to Ellensburg. It was a disappointing trip, but mother nature does not always cooperate!
