On a Date

insanity is a striking date
dressed quietly
and soft spoken
he leads me through a field of poppies
and a river of milk
My barefeet on the soft ground
mismatched with his somber suit
to the cliff
Where i let go with one step
jump, he says
i'll meet you at the bottom
as i tumble through clouds
black envelops
and i know
i'll never see his arms
