Department of English Robert Schnelle
Senior Lecturer My interests in teaching include world literature, the familiar essay, composition, developmental English, and grammar. For pleasure I often read Shakespeare, Commonwealth novelists, and Scandinavian poetry. Prior to joining Central's faculty in 1992, I taught at Landmark College in Vermont, at Clemson University in South Carolina, at high schools in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, and at English-language institutes in Spain and Mexico. I have published a book called Valley Walking: Notes on the Land (Washington State UP, 1997). My work has also been featured in anthologies as well as journals such as The Seattle Review, The Bellevue Literary Review, Weber Studies, Bird Watcher's Digest, and Writing on the Edge.
Working with sincere students has always been my greatest privilege and pleasure. |
