English Undergraduates: Writing Specialization

Alumni

Because 2005-06 is the first year of our Writing Specialization Major, we don’t have any graduates yet; however, our Creative Writing Minor has been around for about ten years. Students who have graduated with this minor have gone on to a number of MFA programs.

Cyphar Hopkins was recently admitted to the University of Maryland in their MFA program in Poetry.

Andrew Fish went on to the MFA program in poetry at Eastern Washington University.

Janalynn Bliss is currently finishing her MFA in fiction at the University of Southern California.

Aaron Baker went through our writing program, received his MA at Central, and then won one of the Hoyns Scholarships in poetry at the University of Virginia. He subsequently received a Wallace Stegner Award at Stanford.

Joe Haferbecker went on to the MFA in poetry at the University of Washington.
