Graduate programs in the Department of Education are designed to advance the skills and knowledge of certified teachers in specialty areas and prepare educational leaders. Information germane to all graduate students and those seeking a M.Ed. degree in particular is available in the graduate portion of the university catalog http://www.cwu.edu/~catalogs/ under "Graduate Studies-Programs and Courses" and the Central Washington University Graduate Studies and Research Office http://www.cwu.edu/~masters/ Master of Education: Instructional LeadershipPrerequisite: One year of successful, contracted teaching experience in a K-12 classroom setting is required for admission to the Instructional Leadership Program. Program. A student shall complete at least 54 credits as outlined in an approved Course of Study filed with the Office of Graduate Studies and Research. The development of a Course of Study most appropriate to the professional goals and purposes of each individual student is encouraged.
*See your advisor if you have completed recent graduate coursework in Intercultural Education (ie., EDF 507). **One quarter (4 credits) of EDAD 694, Internship in Improvement of Instruction and Curriculum Development, may be taken in the M.Ed. program as part of the elective requirement. |
