Student Teaching Pre-Requisites
- Successful completion of all portions of the WEST-B
- 3.0 GPA at the time of application and for the last 45 graded quarter credits
- WSP/FBI fingerprint clearance (see deadlines)
- 75% of major and minor completed (Elementary Education majors must have completed EDRD 308, EDRD 309, EDEL 323 and EDRD 420 as part of the 75%)
- Successful completion of the Professional Education Program courses (EDF 302, EDCS 444 and EDCS 424 may be taken after student teaching)
- Successful completion (grade of C- or higher) of all General Education/Basic and Breadth requirements
- Grades of "C" or higher in English 101 and 102 and in each course in your major, minor and the Professional Core Sequence Courses
- Grades of "C-" or higher in Basic and Breadth courses
- Proof of purchase, $1M liability insurance (see deadlines)
- Proof of registration for the WEST-E. Test date MUST occur prior to the first day of Student Teaching. (Proof of scores may be submitted in lieu of proof of registration)
- Endorsement by major and minor department, when applicable
- Music Majors-successful completion of the Piano Proficiency
