Pre-Autumn Links

PRE-AUTUMN INFORMATION

Pre-Autumn is offered only once per year at the end of summer/beginning of fall. All placements will be completed prior to the start of the CWU academic year (fall quarter). The course is not offered during other quarters. Applications are due Feb. 1, 5pm. No late applications will be accepted.

Department Standards

All students completing an educational endorsement must maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher for the last 45 graded credits. Students must also earn (prior to student teaching) a minimum grade of "C" in all courses required for certification.

Admission Requirements

Students may not enroll in education courses until they have been at least conditionally admitted into the Teacher Preparation Program. Please see the admission requirements for the Teacher Preparation Program.

Pre-Autumn (EDCS 300) is a laboratory experience course in the first phase of Option I in the Teacher Preparation Program. The course deals with the opening of school, professional relationships, school/community relationships, school district organization, instructional support, and resource services. Students are assigned in off-campus centers for approximately four weeks prior to fall quarter. Credits: (4)

Repeatable for Credit: No

Grading Basis: S/U

Notes: Grade will be S or U. Formerly ED 300. Students may not receive credit for both.
