Alpha Sigma Lambda

The Alpha Sigma Lambda National Society was established in 1946 to honor superior scholarship and leadership in adult students. It is one of the largest chapter-based honor society for full and part-time adult students. Alpha Sigma Lambda has chapters at over 250 universities throughtout the United States and provides the opportunity to recognize the special achievements of adult students. Alpha Sigma Lambda acknowledges adult students who accomplish academic excellence while facing competing interests of family, work, and community.

Alpha Sigma Lambda members must have earned a minimum of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. And only the top 10% of all non-traditional students qualify. A Non-Traditional student is someone who is 25 years old or older, with a domestic partner, have children or married or a single parent.

An invitation will be sent to students who have been chosen to become an elite member of the Psi Delta Omega chapter at Central Washington University.
