About Us
Center for Disability Services (CDS) at Central Washington University (CWU) was established to ensure that students with disabilities admitted to Central Washington University are provided equal access to university programs, services and facilities.Academic Adjustments/Accommodations provided by CDS include, but are not limited to, early registration for classes, test access, taped textbooks, sign language interpreters, assistance with identification of note takers and assistance with library research.
Appropriate accommodations are determined for each student on an individual basis by CDS staff and are based on disability documentation. Students of disability requesting services through CDS are required to provide documentation from a qualified professional verifying the existence of the disabling condition and describing the effect of the disability on the ability to access the educational process.
