Douglas College Colloquium and Lecture
Douglas Senior Thesis
Douglas General Studies
Major Concentration

The curriculum is the medium through which the academic goals of the College are to be realized. Successful completion of the Douglas Honors College curriculum is required for graduation from the Douglas program. The Douglas curriculum is a carefully selected group of varied and challenging courses which also meets the requirements for graduation from Central Washington University. The curriculum is divided into four parts:

Douglas College Colloquium and Lecture

The Douglas faculty and students participate in a four-year course of study in the great works of literature, philosophy, politics, and the other liberal arts. This course of reading, discussing, and writing about great ideas provides an intellectual background shared by Douglas students and educated people everywhere. The colloquium meetings acquaint the students and faculty with each other in an informal but intellectual atmosphere. The Douglas College Lecture accompanies the Colloquium and provides biographical and historical background to the works read in the Colloquium.
