must be addressed to listserv@listserv.syr.edu and must have the wording:
SUBSCRIBE AUTOCAT (Yourfirstname) (Yourlastname) [without the
parentheses]
e.g., SUBSCRIBE AUTOCAT Janet L Doe
Note: the abbreviation SUB is acceptable
You will be asked to confirm your subscription. Follow the instructions. There are two reasons for the confirmation process: 1) it prevents someone else from subscribing you without your knowledge; and 2) it confirms that mail can reach you at the e-mail address from which you subscribed.
To unsubscribe from AUTOCAT send the command UNSUB AUTOCAT to the same LISTSERV address shown above. Do NOT include your name in the UNSUBSCRIBE command; doing so will cause the LISTSERV software to reject your command.
