It has information on important things such as the Liberty Bell, Betsy Ross, and Valley Forge which students can look up and do work with.
History NetThis site is a site for a history magazine and it has some of its articles in it. This makes it a resource if students are writing papers and need to find magazine articles or resources that are not from the internet. There are different magazines for different time periods so students should be able to find something at the site to use. Teachers can also sign up for the magazine or buy DVD's at the web page.
World FactbookThis site has maps that can be printed out and used in class or just put on the board with an overhead to make sure students know where things are taking place. Birth and death rates are also on this site and so are poverty levels and how free a country is considered. This helps students understand where countries histories have led them and understand the condition of people in other countries.
PBS History for teachersPBS has lesson plans that can be used or modified for use in the classroom, which can be selected on the first screen. There are many topics to choose from and there are resources for teachers on each of them.
