TQOV Grant

Mark Oursland leading a discussion

This website is designed to support educators participating in the Teacher Quality in the Okanogan Valley (TQOV) grant project. The TQOV grant provides professional development for secondary educators to support improved mathematics achievement for middle and high school students. TQOVs two major goals include 1) increasing teacher knowledge of mathematics and content literacy strategies to enable students to better meet the Washington state mathematics standards; and 2) increasing teachers ability to use the instructional strategies of problem-based learning, integrated curriculum, and content reading strategies to create and teach target mathematics lessons. A full description of TQOV goals and professional development activities is available in the TQOV project brochure.
