PROGRAM ACCEPTANCE

Admission to the University does not guarantee admission to a SeaTac Center program. Each program has admission pre-requisites. Records are reviewed for acceptance into each program.

It is strongly advised students complete general education and pre-requisite requirements prior to transferring. If students transfer without a Direct Transfer Degree (DTA) or equivalent or a Bachelors Degree it will be necessary to return to a community college to compete the DTA or general education requirements. General education requirements must be completed within one year or 45 credits from admission quarter. Some programs require completion of general education and all pre-requisites.

Admission to programs is determined by transcripts on file and record of current or future registration. Current and future courses should be listed on admission application. Send updated transcripts to the Center at the end of each quarter.

BS BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION/ACCOUNTING

College of Business pre-requisites required. Applicants will be provisionally accepted if missing one. Students will not be fully admitted into the College of Business until official transcripts are received showing completion of required courses.

BaEd EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION/ELEMENTARY EDUCATION

Fall entry program. Admission is offered to students based on completion of: Admission to the University; passing all parts of the West B Exam; full acceptance into the Teacher Preparation Program, DTA or equivalent; completion of pre-requisites. Letters of admission start going out during the latter part of Spring Quarter.

BS GENERAL STUDIES/SOCIAL SCIENCES

Completion of general education requirements (DTA, Bachelors degree or equivalent).

BA LAW AND JUSTICE

Completion of general education requirements (DTA, Bachelors degree or equivalent). Foreign language requirement (2 years of high school or 1 year of college single foreign language).

ORIENTATION/REGISTRATION

All programs have mandatory orientations. Students are not admitted into a program until they attend the orientation. Applicants will be sent information regarding orientation or status. Registration for 1st term students is conducted immediately following the orientation.

The College of Business and the Law & Justice programs have quarterly orientations held during the latter part of the previous quarter (except Fall). Fall Quarter orientations are held during the latter part of Spring Quarter. Depending on number of applicants the General Studies orientation may be individual.

The ECE/ElemEd program orientation is held a week before the beginning of Fall Quarter.

OPEN REGISTRATION

CWU students not admitted to a SeaTac program may take courses on a space-available basis during open registration. Most courses require permission from program directors.
Non-matriculated (not admitted to CWU) students cannot register until the first day of each quarter.
