CWU - Pierce County

Welcome to the CWU-Pierce County Center. If you are a newly admitted student please review the information listed below to find out what steps you should take next.

New Student Orientation:

For Law and Justice majors, we hold our new student orientation just prior to the beginning of every quarter. (Summer is an exception - summer admitted students attend the fall orientation). Attendance at our orientation is mandatory, and you will be registered on the night of the orientation.

First Term Registration:

For your first quarter, we will register you at the new student orientation. Students will register themselves in subsequent quarters.

Applying for your major:

You must apply for your major. This is typically accomplished at the orientation.

Direct transfer degree required:

We ask you to submit proof of your Direct Transfer Associate degree within one year of your admission to CWU. If you are transferring from a four-year college, please request a credit evaluation so that we can determine that you have fulfilled the General Education requirements.

Financial Aid:

Your Financial Aid advisor is Deanna Thompson. She is best reached via e-mail: thompson@cwu.edu. Her phone numbers are: M and Th: (206) 439-3800, x 3838. Tues and Wed: (425) 640-1574, x 3876. If you are eligible for Veterans Benefits, please contact Dottie Louttit as: va@cwu.edu, or (509) 963-3028.

Student Parking:

Free parking is available. Please bring your vehicle registration to the Pierce College Campus Safety Office and they will issue a permit. Cars without permits will receive tickets.
