Welcome to the CWU Lynnwood Center. If you are a newly admitted student, please review the information listed below to find out what steps you should take next.

ADMISSION:

  • Applicants to have an official transcript from all colleges attended sent directly to the center. Send updated transcripts as needed. Apply early. All applications should be submitted at least two quarters prior to the quarter of application

PROGRAM ACCEPTANCE:

Admission to the University does not guarantee admission to Lynnwood Center Program. Each program has admission pre-requisites. Please refer to the online catalog at www.cwu.edu/~catalogs/ Records are reviewed for acceptance into each program.

Students are strongly advised to complete general education and pre-requisite requirements prior to transferring. If students transfer without a Direct Transfer Agreement (DTA) or equivalent or a Bachelors Degree it will be necessary to return to a community college to complete the DTA or general education requirements. General education requirements must be completed within one year or 45 credits from admission quarter. Some programs require completion of general education and all pre-requisites.

Admission to programs is determined by transcripts on file and record of current or future registration. Current and future courses should be listed on admission application. Send updated transcripts to the Center at the end of each quarter.

BS BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION / ACCOUNTING

College of Business pre-requisites required. Applicants will be provisionally accepted if missing one. Students will not be fully admitted into the College of Business until official transcripts are received showing completion of required courses.

BS GENERAL STUDIES / SOCIAL SCIENCES

BS SAFETY AND HEALTH MANAGEMENT

Completion of general education requirements (DTA, Bachelors degree or equivalent).

BA LAW AND JUSTICE

Completion of general education requirements (DTA, Bachelors degree or equivalent). Foreign language requirement (2 years of high school or 1 year of college single foreign language).

ORIENTATION / REGISTRATION

All programs have mandatory orientations. Students are not admitted into a program until they attend the orientation. Applicants will be sent information regarding orientation or status. Registration for 1st term students is conducted following the orientation. The College of Business and the Law & Justice programs have quarterly orientations held during the latter part of the previous quarter (except Fall). Fall quarter orientations are held in August. Depending on number of applicants, the General Studies orientation may be individual.

OPEN REGISTRATION.

CWU students not admitted to a Lynnwood Program may take courses on a space-available basis during open registration. Some courses require permission from programs directors. Non-matriculated (not admitted to CWU) students cannot register until a week before the quarter.

BOOKSTORE:

There are two options for ordering textbooks. Students may purchase the books ONLINE from the CWU University Bookstore, at http://cwubookstore.collegestoreonline.com/ or they may purchase them from Edmonds Community College Bookstore, either in person or online, at http://collegestore.edcc.edu. Those students who want to use their financial aid to purchase textbooks MUST use the CWU University Store option. Both bookstores sell CWU sweatshirts, t-shirts and various school supplies.

Our regular office hours are 8:00am to 8:00pm Monday through Thursday, and 8:00am to 4:30pm on Friday. Our phone number is (425)-640-1574. When school is not in session, office hours are 8:00AM to 5:00 pm Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 to 4:30 on Friday.
