If you will enter CWU with junior standing (at least 90 credits) and have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above, you will be eligible to apply for the transfer student scholarship worth $2,400 per year for up to 2 years.

This scholarship is only available to students who transfer to CWU in the summer or fall.

Who Can Apply:
All international transfer students who will have at least 90 transferable credits (60 semester credits) from a US community college or university by the start of fall quarter are eligible for this scholarship. Transfer students who will have less than 90 credits may still apply but will have a lower priority.

GPA Requirement
A 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher is required.

How Many
There are 25 scholarships available for fall quarter. They will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

How Much
You will be awarded $2,400 for the first year. If you maintain a GPA of 3.5 or above at CWU during your first year, you will be awarded another $2,400 for the second year.

When To Apply
Because of limited number of these scholarships you are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. You may apply up to one year in advance.

If you will be starting at CWU in the summer or fall as a freshman (less than 45 credits) and have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above, you are automatically eligible for the freshman scholarship worth up to 3,800. The scholarship award amounts are based on the following criteria:

3.80 - 3.89		$2,700
3.90 - 4.00		$3,800

When To Apply
The priority application deadline for this scholarship is February 1st. You are encouraged to apply even if this priority date has passed, but there is no guarantee that you will receive the scholarship.

If you have earned at least 45 credits at CWU, and have a cumulative and quarterly GPA of 3.5 or above, you will be eligible to apply for the Academic Achievement Awards. Some of these awards will allow you to pay tuition at the domestic, in-state rate worth up to $7,776.00 per year.
