PC Configuration for PeopleSoft Access

Current minimum hardware recommendations for our versions of PeopleSoft are:

• 1 GB RAM recommended (512 MB RAM minimum)
• 1 GHz Pentium or equivalent processor (Pentium 800 MHz minimum)
• VGA controller and display of 800x600 resolution or higher and High Color (16 bit) mode for the best display results.

Since the application now runs entirely within the browser, that becomes more important than the hardware. Supported browsers are:

• Firefox 1.0 or 2.0
• Mozilla 1.7
• IE 6 or 7
• Netscape 7

• IE 5.2
• Netscape 7
• Netscape Communicator 4.72
• Safari or Safari 1.2

The supported browsers listed above are those supported on PeopleTools 8.22, which is the platform on which the HR and Safari systems are based

**Note that Windows Vista is not yet supported although it is listed on their "planned" support for sometime this quarter. Looks like IE 7 is the only browser that is in the pipeline for support but they'll probably add others later.
