About the Center

Central Washington University's Community Counseling and Psychological Assessment Center (CCPAC) provides quality counseling, assessment, and psychoeducational services. The mission of the CCPAC is provide excellent counseling and psychological services for individuals and families, as well as to train mental health professionals. As part of this mission, students of Central Washington University’s mental health counseling, school counseling, and school psychology programs are trained to enhance their counseling and assessment skills and to become more effective counselors and psychologists.

Vision Statement

Formerly the Community Psychological Services Center (CPSC), the Community Counseling and Psychological Assessment Center began operation in 1967. Since its inception, the CCPAC vision has focused on providing effective treatment for a full range of problems and to assist people reach their potential. This vision is designed around three premises:

  • Providing quality mental health services to local communities
  • Administering, scoring, and interpreting psychological assessments
  • Training counseling and school psychology students to become attentive and effective counselors or school psychologists
