The application deadline for the class of 2010-2011 year is February 16, 2010.

The Application form will be available in November, and will consist of:

1. CWU Science Honors Research Program Application Cover Sheet
2. Science Honors Research Proposal Abstract Form
3. Research Proposal Project Description including
   1. Title of project,
   2. Goals and objectives,
   3. Background and Significance,
   4. Research Design and Methods,
   5. Dissemination Plan, and
   6. Literature cited.
4. Completed Budget Description:
   1. Budget Cover Sheet, and
   2. Budget Details and Justification
5. Statement of career goals, a list of completed science and math coursework, GPA, and a list of extracurricular activities.
6. Animal/Human subjects clearance (only if applicable).
7. Faculty Mentor(s) Material- To be emailed directly from the Mentor to the Director, with a paper copy sent directly to the COTS Dean's office (Dean Hall 130)
   1. Mentoring Plan
   2. Endorsement of the student by the faculty mentor.
   3. CV of faculty mentor.
   4. Financial support option
   5. Co-Mentor form, if more than one faculty will be sharing mentoring responsibilities.

All application materials must be received by 4:30 pm Tuesday Feburary 16, 2010.
-Submit an electronic version of parts 1-6 of the application (in PDF format) to the director (huerta@geology.cwu.edu).
-Faculty Mentors to submit an electronic version of part 7) of the application (in PDF format) to the director (huerta@geology.cwu.edu).

-A paper copy of the application must also be delivered to the COTS Dean's office (Dean Hall 130)
