PROGRAM GOALS: The goal of the College of the Sciences (COTS) Faculty Summer Research Grant program is to provide funding for scholarly work.

ELIGIBILITY: Any COTS faculty member who is employed on a full-time, academic year appointment may apply for the summer grant.

APPLICATION: Available on the Faculty Resources page (access via left menu bar).

DEADLINE: Applications are due in the Dean's office by 5:00 PM on the first Friday in February.

SUPPORT PROVIDED: The COTS Summer Research Grant Program will offer four awards annually. Awards will be in the form of a $3000 stipend and will require the faculty member not to carry a teaching and/or reassigned load of more than 5 contact hours during the summer of the award. Grants are intended to culminate in either application for an external grant or the submission of a monograph for publication in a scholarly journal. Generally, there will be two awards in each category.
