You Can Study in Spain or China This
Summer with Faculty from Communication
We will be taking two Study Abroad
groups this summer -- one to Spain,
and one to China. The trip to Spain
will be led by professors Cesar Garcia
and Jennifer Green right after
Spring term. Professors Phil Backlund,
Xiaodong Kuang and Judy Backlund will lead
the trip to Hong Kong and China right
before Fall term. Credits will apply to your degree
in our communication majors: communication
studies, public relations and journalism. What
better way to study than on location
with one of our professors?
Mission Statement It is the mission of the Department of Communication of Central Washington University to prepare students to become active participants in communication within - and shaping - modern culture. To fulfill its mission, the department emphasizes student-centered instruction in the gathering and dissemination of written, spoken and visual information, as well as a broad range of course work in the processes, effects and theories of human communication. The department is committed to a liberal education in written, oral and visual communication, as well as to professional training in the fields of journalism, public relations and advertising. |
