Christine Day leads the overall Starbucks business in Asia Pacific including Japan. In this role, she is responsible for Starbucks' company-owned joint ventures and licensed markets in Asia Pacific. She joined Starbucks Coffee International two years ago and in her short time in the international arena, Christine has made significant contributions to its markets, bringing a wealth of Starbucks experience and knowledge. Since joining Starbucks in 1987 Christine Day has held numerous positions in the company overseeing such areas as purchasing and store planning, design and construction, and retail operations services. She moved on to manage the Northwest zone, where she revitalized the market and development strategies. As the Vice President of Sales and Operations she managed the Food Service and Licensed Stores division. In 2001 She became Senior Vice President of North American Strategic Business Systems and has been responsible for store operating systems, productivity systems, management and information systems, and customer relation strategies and systems. In June of 2003, finance and strategic planning were added to her responsibilities and her title was changed to Senior Vice President, North American Administration. Ms. Day has always been on the forefront of key initiatives in the organization, and she is proudest of her contributions to the culture of Starbucks. Day graduated from Central Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in Administrative Management.
