University’s Agricultural Experimental Station Laboratory, served as
V.P. of Operations for the Hudson Valley Wine and Grape Association,
been the wine chemist of a large U.S. winery, and taught at several
colleges in New York State. Furthermore, John has been a vineyardist for
the past 21 years, growing several varieties of grapes in his own
award-winning vineyard. John’s unique perspective of wine, earned
through years spent in France, South America, Southern Africa and the
Eastern United States provides him with a global view of wine and the
wine industry. John brings his extensive domestic and global experiences
to the classroom as our newest professor in the Global Wine Studies
