TARGET POPULATION: Children, youth, families, and prevention agenciesMISSION STATEMENT: Our mission is to identify and assess the substance prevention and safety needs of children, youth, adults, and families in an ongoing process. The Network will develop, maintain, and carry out a plan to address these needs. We will coordinate with all sectors of the community to plan, implement, and evaluate evidence-based strategies to prevent:
- substance use and abuse
- child abuse and neglect
- unintentional injuries and death
- youth violence
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES/PROGRAM OBJECTIVE: Volunteer community board that assesses community resources and needs to reduce child abuse and neglect, domestic violence, teen substance abuse, and youth violence. The Network works locally to align and coordinate efforts funded by state agencies, encourage collaborative partnerships among prevention agencies, and recommend legislative policy changes to the Washington State Family Policy Council.
