View Buffet Dinners Student Union Building Our beautiful new Student Union offers multiple rooms and can accommodate over 500 meals in one venue. Sue Dining Room An elegant dining room that was built in 1928 and completely restored in 2005. Capacity is up to 184 banquet style. This is the finest dining room in the county and is ideal for your most important occassions. Weddings and Anniversaries are only some of our specialties! Fully climate controlled for your comfort. Price: $400.00 per day **When Sue Dining Room and Lombard Room are rented together the combined rate is reduced by $175.00. When catering food charges equal twice the room rent, the room rent will be waived. Set up fees may be charged based on set up needs. Custodial fees may be charged. (For off-campus customers. 8.0% sales tax applies.)Lombard Room This lovely space is perfect for wedding ceremonies or intimate receptions. Originally built in 1928 and fully renovated in 2005, it is equipped with a front reception entrance, drop down movie screens and is fully climate controlled. It can accomodate up to 84 for dining or up to 175 for theatre seating.
This room is often used in conjunction with the Sue Dining Room for a special event. Price: $275.00 per day **When Sue Dining Room and Lombard Room are rented together the combined rate is reduced by $175.00. When catering food charges equal twice the room rent, the room rent will be waived. Set up fees may be charged based on set up needs. Custodial fees may be charged. (For off-campus customers. 8.0% sales tax applies.)Kamola Suite A hotel quality sleeping room located on the bottom floor of Kamola Hall. This suite has a seperate bedroom with two double beds, bathroom, living and dining rooms and a kitchenette.
The perfect location for the bride to get ready for the wedding and reception located in the Sue Dining Room! Price: $100.00 per night (For off-campus customers. 8.0% sales tax applies.)
Food is not allowed to be brought in to a CWU Catering facility. A wedding cake and alcoholic beverages are the only exceptions.

A guarantee number attending is required ten business days prior to your event.
Your bill will reflect the guaranteed number. If more guests show up than were guaranteed, then you will be billed at the higher guest count.
CWU Catering does not provide alcoholic beverages. Permission to serve alcohol on campus must be obtained by requesting permission to serve alcohol on campus through the office of Student Affairs. Once permission to bring alcohol on campus is received and a banquet permit is purchased at any Washington state liquor store, CWU Catering can then work out the details with you on delivery, storage, service, etc. (CWU Procedures for Serving Alcoholic Beverages on Campus -- PDF)
Beer and wine bar service can be provided by the CWU Catering staff. Hard alcohol bar service MUST be contracted out by the cutomer with a licensed and insured provider. Set up and room access will need to be coordinated with the Catering Manager. Service Staff Price: $20.00 per hour (For off-campus customers. 8.0% sales tax applies.) Bar Service This includes a portable bar, glassware, beverage napkins, wine openers & ice. Price: $2.00 per person (For off-campus customers. 8.0% sales tax applies.) Bartender Price: $20.00 per person **Three hour minimum (For off-campus customers. 8.0% sales tax applies.)Social Attendant A Social Attendant will be present at the reception and the sponsoring party understands that they will be billed for this service. This service is required by CWU. The Social Attendant will monitor alcohol consumption, check ID's and enforce drinking cut-offs. Please note that the sponsoring party is still responsible for assuring that alcohol will not be consumed by minors. Price: $15.00 per hour (For off-campus customers. 8.0% sales tax applies.)
Consider the following when ordering appetizers for your event:
A light reception order is recommended for receptions under one hour. This is approximately three to four pieces of food per person.
A moderate reception order is recommended for a reception period that is over an hour. This is approximately five to eight pieces of food per person.
