Receptions CWU Catering has beautiful, traditional style facilities that can accommodate your reception located in the Sue Lombard Dining Room Complex.
Room capacity will depend on the type of reception you are planning. The Catering staff will assist you in coordinating the details to make this a memorable event!
Room set up fees will be determined by the complexity of the event.
Custodial fees may be charged.   Sue Dining Hall An elegant dining room that was built in 1928 and completely restored in 2005. Capacity is up to 184 banquet style. This is the finest dining room in the county and is ideal for your most important occasions. Weddings and Anniversaries are only some of our specialties! Fully climate controlled for your comfort. Price: $400.00 per day *When Sue Dining Room and Lombard Room are rented together, the combined rate is reduced by $175.00. Set up fees may be charged based on needs. Custodial fees may be charged. (For off-campus customers. 8.0% sales tax applies.) Lombard Room This lovely "multi-use space" is perfect for intimate receptions, dining events or meetings. Originally built in 1928 and fully renovated in 2005, it is equipped with two drop down movie screens, black out drapes and front reception entrance. It is an ideal venue for smaller functions of up to 84 for dining and 175 for theatre style seating. This room is often used in combination with Sue Dining Room for your special event. Fully climate controlled for your comfort. Price: $275.00 per day *When Sue Dining Room and Lombard Room are rented together the combined rate is reduced by $175.00. Set up fees may be charged based on needs. Custodial fees may be charged. (For off-campus customers. 8.0% sales tax applies.) *In order to secure a room within the Sue Lombard Catering Complex, the room rent will be required immediately upon booking. This deposit is 50% refundable with 90 days or more notice of cancellation.
Thirty days prior to the reception, a payment in the amount of 50% of the total estimated bill is required.
Ten days prior to the reception a payment of 25% of the total estimated catering bill is required.
The remaining 25% of the balance due will be billed the week following the reception.
Food is not allowed to be brought on campus to a CWU Catering function. A wedding cake and alcoholic beverages are exceptions.

A guaranteed number attending is required ten working days prior to your event.Your bill will reflect this guaranteed number. If more guests show up than what has been guaranteed, then you will be billed at the higher guest count.
CWU Catering does not provide alcoholic beverages. Permission to bring alcohol on campus for your event must be obtained by requesting permission to serve alcohol on campus through the office of Student Affairs. Once permission to bring alcohol on campus is received and a banquet permit is purchased at any Washington state liquor store, CWU Catering then can work out the details with you on delivery, storage, etc. (CWU Procedures for Serving Alcoholic Beverages on Campus -- PDF)
Beer & wine bar service is provided by CWU Catering staff. Hard alcohol bar service MUST be contracted out by the customer with a licensed and insured provider. Set up and room access will need to be coordinated with the Catering Manager.  Service Staff Price: $20.00 per hour **The number of servers needed will be reflected by the type of service and the guaranteed number of guests (For off-campus customers. 8.0% sales tax applies.)Bar Service This includes a portable bar, glassware, beverage napkins, wine openers, ice, ice scoops & bar towels Price: $2.00 per person **1 Hour minimum (For off-campus customers. 8.0% sales tax applies.)Bartender Price: $20.00 per hour **3 hour minimum (For off-campus customers. 8.0% sales tax applies.)Social Attendant Price: $15.00 per hour *A Social Attendant will be present at your reception and the sponsoring party understands that they will be billed for this service. This service is required by CWU. They will monitor alcohol consumption, check ID's and enforce drinking cut-offs. Please note that the sponsoring party is still responsible for assuring that alcohol will not be consumed by minors. (For off-campus customers. 8.0% sales tax applies.)
