Introduction

You and your fellow country men just fought  a bloody war for eight years, lost family, friends, and loved ones and are now free from oppression from your mother country. Can anyone guess what war was just fought and won? You guessed it, The American Revoultion! Can you imagine after all the fighting and blood shed, that the thirteen original colonies are now one nation and they get to establish thier own Government? Can you imagine winning the war and then having to build a brand new govermnet from the ground up?

Task

You and your four other group members will be creating your own governmnet from scratch. I want the group to create a Constitution for your newly formed governmnet. I also want everyone to have a government position (President, Vice Presidnet, Senator 1, Senator 2, House of Rep.1) (Remember this is a democracy not a dictatorship VOTE!). I also want a four page personal diary on the process of making the Constitution, what governmnet position you were given and the responsibilities that you had. I want the design to be unique and creative. I do not want unrealistic laws or anything off that nature in this project.

Diary requirments: (20 points)
Constitution requirments: (70 points)

Resources

When looking for resources please remember that you need to look at other websites just not the ones that I have listed below.

Evaluation

The points you earn on this project will come from the following rubric created by myself. Remember that you are to have ten amendments and they are worth five points a piece. The twenty participation points are split in two ways. I give ten of the points out and the other ten will be given to you by your group members.

You all did a great job now you know what it was like for our founding fathers to try and create a new government from the ground up. It takes time, knowledge, creativity, know how, and a little fun.
