College of Arts and Humanities
2004-05 Part-Time Faculty of the Year Award The College of Arts and Humanities wishes to honor the signal contributions of adjunct faculty to our teaching and learning community. Thus, we are establishing an annual award to recognize individual part-time faculty whose teaching and other contributions to the College, such as scholarship, creative work, advising and mentoring students, or other academic activities, warrant acclaim. At this time, CAH invites nominations for the 2004-05 Part-time Faculty of the Year Award, which will be given annually.
Eligibility:
The nominee must be a part-time faculty member teaching at least 15 credits in the College of Arts and Humanities during academic year 2004-05.
Nomination and Submission Process:
- Nominations must be submitted by CAH Chairs, or current full-time or part-time faculty in CAH. Individuals may not nominate themselves.
- Nominators should fill out the appropriate nomination form (also available on-line at the CAH website: http://www.cwu.edu/~cah/awardforms.html ).
- Nominators should attach a current vita of the nominee.
- Nominations and supporting materials are due in the Dean's office by 5 p.m., April 11, 2005 . Please provide a narrative statement of support for your nomination, commenting on the teaching and other contributions of the nominee that you believe warrant this recognition. Your statement will be the primary criterion used to evaluate the entry. You may choose to submit additional supporting information, such as teaching materials, copies of scholarly or creative work, or other forms of supporting documentation, but these are optional.
Awards:
The winner will receive a cash award of $250 and will be recognized at the CAH Awards Banquet on May 17, 2005, along with other honorees of the College.
