Call for Nominations: Faculty Achievement Awards
Academic Year 2008-2009

The College of Arts and Humanities takes great pride in recognizing the excellent work of its faculty. Please take the opportunity to nominate faculty for the following awards:

  • Outstanding Faculty Teaching Award
    This award is given annually to a tenured or tenure-track CAH faculty member to recognize significant achievement at CWU in innovative teaching strategies, curriculum and/or program development, and positive impact on student learning.

  • Outstanding Faculty Research Award
    This award is given annually to a tenured or tenure-track CAH faculty member to recognize research at CWU that represents significant cumulative achievement and/or individual work that has salient impact on the field.

  • Outstanding Faculty Artistic Achievement Award
    This award is given annually to a tenured or tenure-track CAH faculty member to recognize work or performance done while at CWU that represents significant cumulative artistic achievement and/or individual work that has salient impact on the field.

  • Outstanding Non-tenure Track Faculty Teaching Award
    This award is given annually to a CAH Non-tenure Track faculty member to recognize significant achievement in innovative teaching strategies and a positive impact on student learning. The nominee must be a full-time or part-time non-tenure track faculty member teaching at least 15 credits in the College of Arts and Humanities during academic year 2008-2009.

Nomination and Submission Process:

Nominations may be submitted by faculty, students and staff in CAH. Individuals may not nominate themselves.

Nominators should fill out the appropriate nomination form, attach a copy of the nominee's vita and include all supporting materials. To be eligible, the nomination materials must be received in the CAH Dean's office (Hebeler 202 or Mail Stop 7518) by 5 p.m. on 6 April 2009.

Awards:

Each recipient will receive a cash award of $250 and will be recognized, along with other honorees, at the College of Arts and Humanities Awards Banquet on 12 May 2009.
