Arts and Humanities: Awards

The College of Arts and Humanities second annual Awards Banquet will be held Tuesday, May 17, 2005 in Munson Dining Hall. We will begin with a social reception at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner and the program at 6 p.m.. Faculty, students and staff are encouraged to nominate individuals for achievement in the following categories:

Faculty Scholarship/Artistic Achievement Award

Part-time Faculty of the Year Award

Graduate Student Scholarship/Artistic Achievement Award

Student Creativity Awards

During the banquet, other members of the College community will be recognized including the winners of the Staff Recognition Award, Outstanding Chair Award, Outstanding Teaching Award as well as the Alumni Award winner. Staff Recognition Award

The CAH Staff Recognition Award honors outstanding contributions by a classified staff employee in the College to his or her department or to the College of Arts and Humanities. Employees are nominated by CAH faculty, chairs, and staff. The award recipient will be recognized during a special holiday ceremony and at the annual Awards Banquet. Nominators should fill out the appropriate nomination form (also available on-line at the CAH website: http://www.cwu.edu/~cah/awardforms.html ).

Travel Grant Awards

The College supports professional travel by CAH full and part-time faculty for scholarly and creative development. Applications are submitted each fall and reviewed on a competitive basis by a committee of faculty working with the Dean.
