Annual Banquet

The College of Arts and Humanities will hold its annual banquet on Tuesday, 13 May from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Sue Lombard Dining Hall. This year's faculty and student award winners will be recognized in a ceremony following the dinner. Their work as well as faculty work from the past year will be on display during the banquet festivities. In addition to recognizing award winning faculty and students, an alum from each department will be honored with a College of Arts and Humanities Alumni Recognition Award. This is the second time that alumni are being honored at the annual college banquet. We are pleased to announce that the eight alums are:

Matt Trinneer - Department of Art. BA 1991. Matt is the Creative Director for Pivot + Levy, a design and advertising firm based in Seattle.

Scott Battishill - Department of Communication. BA 1993. Scott is the Vice President and Senior Director DDB Public Relations in Seattle.

Mark Musick - Department of English. BA 1970. Mark is the founder of Washington Tilth and a consultant for organic food and sustainable agriculture. Jan Pingel - Department of Foreign Languages. BA 1980. Jan is a Senior Programmer Analyst with Holland America Cruise Lines.

Deborah J. Ross-San Soucie - Department of History. BA 1977. Debi works for the Pierce County Public Works and Utilities as an information technology specialist.

Alan Page - Department of Music. BA 1988, MM 1993. Alan is currently the Director of Test Excellence at Microsoft.

Duane LaRue - Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies. BA 1988. Duane is First Vice President, Wealth Management with Smith Barney in Seattle. His website is www.fc.smithbarney.com/duane_larue

David Shoup - Department of Theatre Arts. BA 1997. David works as a speaker for Freedom Personal Development, a nationwide training firm. His website is www.deliverfreedom.com
