CWU Suggestion Box

I would like to suggest that you train the workers in the student store to be more courteous to their customers. I was in there with my Mother on July 8th in the late afternoon. We were on vacation in Ellensburg since I was a former CWU student having graduated 2 years ago. The point being we came into the CWU bookstore to buy some Central gear because I really enjoyed my time at Central. The service we ran into there at the bookstore was somewhat of a mood killer. I had asked about Alumni license plates for my new car and basically was told that they were out and I could order online but that I would be essentially out of luck until they got them. It was rather abrupt and there was no help offered, like telling me when they might expect more, if it would be worth it to wait, and so on. I did buy other plates because I didn't want to wait for the unknown. To end things, the girl who helped us check out had such a huffy attitude about her, and it was very disappointing.

Response - I was deeply disappointed with the response and customer service you received at the Wildcat Shop regarding the license plate covers. I have spoken with our staff regarding the issue and have made corrective actions. We do have a hard time giving an exact date for when we will get license plate covers back in stock. They have a fairly large variance in time for order completion from all of the vendors that sell them. The orders have about a two month variance and take anywhere from three to five months to arrive after we order. If you want to contact me personally, we have now received the product you were trying to find, and I will be happy to make it right for you.

I Think it would be fun to put on a talent show with the Staff/Faculty at CWU before Christmas.

Response - We appreciate the suggestion and think that it would be a great idea. To coordinate such a function would require the time and energy of a committee to plan and promote the program. Such coordination might occur from the faculty senate, exempt employees' association and employee council. You might want to ask to be included on the agenda for these groups to explore your idea. Once you develop the proposal, you could present it to the President's Council.
