Latino Summit
In a collaboration of Central Washington University Bridges Program and the Latino/a Educational Achievement Project a Student Leadership Forum was created. It brought together selective students from high schools, colleges, and universities.
Students from Washington colleges and universities participated in leadership, civic, and educational activities. The activities were designed to help students to undersatnd democracy, and how to become an effective leader on their campuses.
Students from high schools in Central Washington and the Yakima Valley participated in a number of workshops and listened to some great speakers. They were all aimed at helping students to develop strong leadership skills and how to participate in a democratic society.
